Presbyopia
Presbyopia is an age related vision condition. It happens to people around age 40and causes blurring of near vision, noticed by blur when reading sewing, doing computer work etc.. Most people notice it as they start having to hold near objects farther away or experience fatigue and blur when doing near tasks. Presbyopia occurs even if someone has had no vision problems in the past. It’s due to the lens inside the eye getting thicker and more inflexible, causing an inability to change focus from far to near. Nearsighted people may notice that they can remove their glasses and see better at near, but have blur at near with their glasses. Presbyopia is corrected with the use of glasses or contact lenses.
