Myopia or nearsightedness
Myopia is a visual condition in which close objects are in focus, while father away objects are blurred. Myopia occurs if the cornea is too steeply curved or the eyeball is too long so that light coming into the eye doesn’t focus on the macula. Myopia is very common and is thought to be inherited or in some cases caused by visual stress. Myopia is normally treated with glasses, contact lenses or refractive surgery
